Church monuments. Art in the Cultural Heritage of Ukrainians. The aim of the article is to determine the place of monuments of traditional church art in Ukrainian cultural heritage. Cultural heritage is a permanent process, based on tradition of creativity and ability to accumulate current trends of social development. The article is based on the terminological principle of the scientific research and includes the use of various approaches: informative, systematic and axiological. The separate normatively legal sources of documentary are studied from the guard of in heritance. They analyzed terminological in accuracies. The definition of Ukrainian ethnic heritage, in which one of the key places belongs to sights of arts and crafts is offered. Іn particular pointed to traditional church art. It is emphasized the temporary signs of inheritance, other characteristics are taken into account: material and spiritual values; ethnically-local, national, global belonging; the concept of number and degree of uniqueness; the possibility of mobility, and the method of collection. The results promote informing of optimal strategy of independent electronic «Register of Cultural Values of ethnic inheritance of Ukrainians». In the future, the wide analysis of the state of maintenance of monuments is possible on the example of private collections. The manifest prepares to their proprietors.
